The mysterious case of a Wingstop mis-delivery. One might ask, what exactly are you talking about, I will explain, I promise.
August 11, I returned from visiting my parents house, and upon my arrival, I decided to go outside to check my mail, in the process of checking my mail
I noticed a sealed Wingstop bag was sitting on my porch with a 52 ounce bottle of Simply Lemonade. The bag contained no receipt such as the customer’s
name, who ordered the food, or a phone number, nor did it contain the information of the company who delivered the food. I checked my Ring camera
to see who made the delivery, but there was no information as to who made the delivery, so I wasn’t about to open the bag to see what was ordered. I attempted
to call Wingstop to see if there was an order that was made by a customer who might have lived on my street so that I could take the items to them, but Wingstop
customer service told me that I could keep the order, which didn’t sit right with me because I didn’t order it so integrity would be an issue for me, so I decided to
return the Wingstop order with the Simply Lemonade to a Wingstop location that was less than 10 minutes away from where I lived, and they took the bag, and put
the food in the trash. What can be done to prevent this in the future? Wingstop could place the customer’s phone number, and address on the bag, and ask the driver to
double-check the address before placing the items on the porch. Leaving food at the wrong address has the same effect as a package being stolen by a porch pirate, it’s
something that you’re looking forward to, and when you don’t receive what you ordered the customer isn’t happy at all. What can the driver do to prevent misdelivering
food to a customer’s house? Pay attention to the street signs, if there isn’t an address on the house, walk out to the curb, and see if the address is painted on the sidewalk, use
your gps, normally it will show you what the house, or location of your destination will look like. Stay away from playing video games on your phone while delivering food, because
you can easily be distracted, and once you drop off food at the wrong location, a lot of people will receive the blessing instead of notifying the food establishment that they received
food that doesn’t belong to their house. The most important thing is if you live close to a food establishment is to pick up your own food so that you will not have to worry about
someone else receiving your Wingstop that you ordered for your Super Bowl party. www.iwantmymail.com More than just a blog.
